Thanks to our partner venues and musicians for all your support – we raised over $1400 toward bike rack installation along St. Claude Avenue on Saturday the 29th.
If you weren’t able to make it out but would still like to support the effort – you can donate via the link below or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org about tax-deductible donations. Funds collected now will go 100% toward more bike racks, to be installed in Fall 2013.
In the spirit of making the St. Claude corridor a more bicycle-friendly business district, St. Claude Main Street and Bike Easy are working with Siberia, the Allways Lounge, the Hi-Ho Lounge, and Kajun’s Pub to host a fundraiser for bike racks on St. Claude Avenue.
The fundraiser is on June 29th and will feature local live bands and DJs. Cost of entry is $10 for access to all four venues. You can buy tickets here, through PayPal (link below) or from the ticketing table on the day of the event. If you buy on PayPal, tickets can be picked up at the table on day of the event
The goal of the fundraiser is to raise a minimum of $4000 to buy as many two-bike, circle racks as possible to distribute all along the St. Claude Avenue corridor, from Elysian Fields Avenue to Poland Avenue.
St. Claude Main Street in partnership with Bike Easy and Where Ya Rack have already committed $7500 to installing three bike corrals that hold twelve bicycles each on the corners adjacent to Siberia, the Allways Lounge, and the Hi-Ho Lounge. We’d like to extend the bike friendliness throughout the whole corridor and hope that this fundraiser will allow us to do that.
